Early Times Report NOIDA, Oct 8: Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) welcomed its online learners at Deeksharambh 2026. An orientation programme held today at its Sector 62 campus. The event was organised by the Centre for Digital and Online Education (CDOE), JIIT and was attended by Dr. L. Murugan, Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, as Chief Guest, along with other industry leaders. The programme began with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana, followed by an introduction to Jaypee Higher Education System. Dr. S. C. Saxena, Pro Chancellor, delivered the welcome address, and felicitated the Chief Guest. The Institute was represented by Dr. Rajive Kumar, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. S. C. Saxena, Pro Chancellor. The gathering was also graced by the esteemed Directors, Deans, Heads of Departments, Faculty members and students of JIIT and JIIT Online across the B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, MBA, BCA and MCA programmes. Speaking on India's creative economy and its prospect for the world, Dr. Murugan described it as a major growth frontier for young professionals. He said the government aims to scale the sector to $100 billion by 2030, and that the animation, gaming and visual effects (AVGC) sector alone will need nearly 2 million skilled professionals. Dr. Murugan said "Government Of India is planning the roadmap to 2047 for the youth of the country, the future belongs to youth. The new education policy also emphasis on entrepreneurship wherein the youth believes Sirf Naukri maangna nahi hai, Dena bhi hai.. creative economy is the new future. |
