| Jammu police cracks down on drug supply chain, arrests lady peddler | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 8: In its sustained drive against drug trafficking, Jammu Police has achieved significant breakthrough by arresting lady drug peddler during the course of backward linkage investigation in an NDPS case registered at PS TrikutaNagar. The operation was carried out as part of the investigation into NDPS case FIR No.302/2026 U/S 8/21/22/27A/29 NDPS Act & 111 BNS registered at Police Station Bahu Fort on 03.10.2026 in which Police had recovered the Heroin Like Substance and arrested the accused Ankush Kumar S/o Anitesh R/o Rajiv Nagar Narwal. During the investigation, police developed the backward linkage of the case, leading to the identification of the lady drug peddler. Acting on the information, a police team of PP Narwal successfully arrested the backward linkage accused lady identified as Deepa W/o Arjun R/o Rajiv Nagar Narwal . The successful operation highlights the sustained efforts of Jammu Police to identify and dismantle the entire supply chain by tracing the supplier and the recipients involved in narcotics trafficking. Further investigation of the case is going on. SSP Jammu has appealed to the public to actively support the anti-drug campaign by sharing credible information about drug trafficking or suspicious activities with the nearest police station. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential. |
