REASI, Oct 14: Continuing its efforts to curb drug abuse and dismantle the drug menace in the district, Reasi Police apprehended one person and recovered 170 grams of ganja (marijuana) from his possession in the Banganga area.
A police party of Police Post Banganga apprehended one person identified as Mangal Dass alias Mangu, S/O Vakil Chand R/O Aghar Jitto, Parthal, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi. During the operation, the police recovered 46 small polythene packets containing ganja, weighing approximately 170 grams, from his possession.
In this connection, FIR No. 321/2026 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source of the contraband and identify any other persons involved in the illegal drug trade.
Reasi Police reiterates its commitment to eradicating the drug menace and appeals to the general public to cooperate with the police in making the district drug-free. |
