UDHAMPUR, Oct 24: In a significant step towards strengthening skill development, career counseling, and employment opportunities for students, Government Degree College, Udhampur, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with J&K Dispatch Solutions to promote industry-oriented training, digital literacy, and career readiness among students.
The MoU aims to bridge the gap between academic education and industry requirements by equipping students with practical skills, professional competencies, and knowledge required to succeed in today's competitive job market.
Under this collaboration, the two institutions will work towards facilitating skill development programmes, digital productivity training with Artificial Intelligence (AI), spoken English and communication skills, computer proficiency, career counseling, internships, and placement assistance. The partnership will also explore opportunities for students to benefit from government-supported skill development initiatives and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)-based training programmes, wherever applicable.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to empowering young people of Jammu and Kashmir by providing access to quality skill training and employment-oriented learning opportunities. Special emphasis will be placed on enhancing students' employability, encouraging self-reliance, and preparing them for emerging opportunities in the corporate sector, entrepreneurship, and the digital economy.
J&K Dispatch Solutions, a skill development and career support organization established on November 8, 2022, works with the vision of empowering youth through accessible training, career guidance, and placement-oriented initiatives.
The signing of the MoU marks another step towards fostering institutional collaboration and creating a more practical, skill-oriented learning environment for students of Government Degree College, Udhampur.
