Congress misleading people with political slogans: J-K BJP chief

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 30: Jammu and Kashmir BJP and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma on Thursday accused the Congress of misleading people through political slogans and campaigns instead of offering constructive solutions to the issues. Addressing a seminar on "Save Democracy, Eliminate Anarchy" organised by the BJP Jammu border district, Sharma said protecting democratic institutions and respecting the people's mandate were collective responsibilities in the world's largest democracy. Sharma criticised the Congress for repeatedly launching political campaigns to revive its leadership. "The Congress party continues to revolve around its single family, making repeated attempts to relaunch the most privileged person through one political campaign after another. Sometimes it organises a yatra, sometimes it raises a new slogan, but its campaigns fizzle out before gaining any real public traction," he said. The seminar brought together intellectuals, prominent citizens, representatives of various sections of society and party workers to deliberate on safeguarding democratic institutions and upholding the sanctity of the electoral process. Sharma called upon intellectuals, professionals, community representatives and political workers to counter misinformation and strengthen public confidence in India's constitutional framework. BJP MLA Rajiv Bhagat said voters are supreme in a democracy and allegations against the electoral process without credible evidence undermine the wisdom of the electorate. He urged citizens to remain vigilant and promote democratic awareness at the grassroots level.
