Atul Sharma Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30: A Bangladeshi woman has absconded from a shelter home in Nowgam area of Srinagar. A lookout notice has been issued by the Srinagar district police. A missing person report was filed in the Nowgam Police Station’s daily diary (DDR) on October 11th. A letter from the Superintendent of Police (West) on October 22nd, received from the SSP Srinagar, mentions the report sent to the police station. According to information, Nowgam Police Station received a written application from the coordinator of the open shelter home in the area. It stated that Balikalin Kamdosh, an 18-year-old girl from Bangladesh, was brought to this open shelter home for girls two years ago on April 20th under case number 1218/CWC/Srinagar/2026. She is now missing. This shelter home, which functions as a child care institution, is under government supervision. Its purpose is to provide a safe environment, emergency shelter, nutrition, and rehabilitation to girls in order to provide care and protection. Administrative officials periodically inspect this shelter home to review the arrangements. Consequently, the disappearance of a young woman from this shelter home raises many questions. |
