Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 5: A day after the annoyed veteran leader Mubarak Gul deferred his press conference, the “dissident” National Conference MLAs are likely to meet party president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Friday to discuss all burning issues.
Highly placed sources said that annoyed MLAs have sought time from party president Dr Farooq Abdullah to submit their memorandum prepared by them during their meeting on October 28 at the residence of Qaisar Jamsheed Lone.
Reports said that a meeting of some party MLAs was held today at the residence of former Deputy Speaker of the J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA Gurez, Nazir Ahmed Gurezi, and discussed the unfolding developments within the party.
Sources said that 10 to 12 annoyed MLAs were present in the meeting, but their tone was not rebellious, as all legislators present in the meeting expressed their desire to start negotiations with the leadership.
Reports said that a meeting between annoyed MLAs and the National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah is likely to be held on Friday, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah may remain present in the meeting.
Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today reached Srinagar and visited the residence of MLA Lal Chowk, Ahsan Pardesi, at Shivpora to offer condolences on the demise of his father, late Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi, former MLC and senior party leader.
They offered Fatiha Khawani and paid rich tributes to the late leader, remembering his noble personality, dedicated service, and valuable contributions to the party and the people. They extended their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, National Conference MLA Salman Sagar disclosed that a meeting would be held between annoyed MLAs with Dr Farooq Abdullah and Dr Farooq Abdullah. He said that there was no rebellion in the party. “Some legislators have small grievances & those will be sorted out. Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah Sb are looking at this. Sometimes there are communication gaps even within families”, he said.
