Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 4: The four days long first Aid Training Course, organized by Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region under the aegis of St. John Ambulance Association, Region Centre Jammu today concluded here at Kachi Chawni. According to press release, 25 participants took part in the said training which is mandatory for all Driving License holders to go through detailed First Aid Training in order to save the precious lives during un-toward accidents. The training was imparted by the Sr. Consultants Dr Satish Sharma, Dr Rajinder Thappa, Dr Bias Dev and Dr Kavita Nijohn. It was emphasized by Dr Bias Dev in his lecture to the participants to make efforts for decreasing/preventing accidents. He told the participants that last year 1.5 Lakh deaths occurred in Indian roads and approx 15 lakhs has injuries requiring Hospitalization and all these accidents are preventable upto large extent by observing traffic rules strictly.
