JAMMU, Feb 12: Virtually ruined and turned into a fish market by ex-Forest Minister Mian Altaf, forest secretary has seemingly taken even Governor N.N.Vohra for a ride and recently reshuffled 20 officers, with most of them not even having completed three months at their earlier posting, ordered by the NC-Cong coalition government.
Ironically, Governor N.N.Vohra, who is known for being meticulous and serious administrator allowed Secretary Forest, Environment and Ecology Mohammed Afzal to shuttle around 20 senior officers in January 2015, who had earlier been reshuffled through a cabinet order in October 2014. A department which had the distinction of having resorted to brute violation of rules and regulations while issuing transfer orders during the tenure of NC MLA and ex-Minister Mian Altaf continued with the established practice.
