| NMC urges Union FM to raise IT exemption limit to Rs 5 Lakh | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 14: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri has urged Union Finance Minister (FM) to raise the Income Tax exemption limit to Rupees Five Lacs.
Addressing a series of NMC activists rallies at Kanjali and Bomyal in Nagrota Block, Shastri also appealed Arun Jatley to announce non inclusion of amount of DA to calculating Income Tax as the DA installments are released by the Government from time to time to utilize the impact of price rise and inflation.
Shastri emphasized the need for immediate merger of 50% DA into basic pay and pension as per the recommendations of 4th Pay Commission. He added that all these burning issues impacting both the Central and State Governments Employees and pensioners should be addressed by the Union Finance Minister while presenting the budget for 2015-16 in the coming Budget Session of Parliament begining on 23rd of this month. Shastri hoped that the fourth coming Union Budget will meet the expectations of the 1.25 crore people of the country, particularly the salaried class who are working tirelessly to implement the programmes and the policies of the Central Government. |
