FMPHWs demonstrate, demand early release of pending salaries | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 14 : A number of activists under the banner Female Multi Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) Association affiliated with Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation staged a protest demonstration in support of their demand including release of pending salaries. Protestors warned the authorities in case demands of FMPHWs are not met by March 5, they will be forced to further intensify their stir. Raising slogans against authorities for failing to release of pay dues of FMPHWs working under 2211- Family Welfare, the protestors demanded early release of their pending salaries. Addressing the protesters, Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF and Smt Babli Sharama, President FMPHWs Welfare Association said that the FMPHWs of Jammu are facing hardship as the authorities have not been release since last fourteen months. The demand highlighted during protest included early release of salary of FMPHWs engaged with 2211-Family Welfare, posts of LHVs to be created in new PHCs and Atleast 60% quota of Health Educators be given for promotion to FMPHWs. Sushil Sudan urged concerned authority to solve the issue and take up with appropriate authorities, to ensure regular disbursement of salary. Chairman JKMEF also appealed Governor of J&K N N Vohra to intervene in the matter and save the FMPHWs from further sufferings. Speakers also warned that in case demands of FMPHWs are not met before March 5 they will be forced to further intensify their stir. Kamla Devi, Neelam Kuamari, Mohni Rani, Kamaljeet Sawahany, Yougal Bakshi, Anoup Singh, C. L. Koul and others also addressed the protestors. |
