| Police Community Public Group meet held | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Feb 14: Rajouri police organized Police-Community-Public-Group (PCPG) meeting at border village Bhawani in Nowshera tehsil on Friday which was chaired by Sargun , SDPO, Nowshera.
Besides representatives from various villages and Panchyats of the area, the meeting was also attended by the officials from Revenue, Education departments. Non availability of vocational training centre (VTC) , lack of quality education especially in pre-primary sections, long pending land disputes , lack of potable water and scarcity of electricity were among some major issues raised by the inhabitants of the area.
Besides these issue inhabitants of those villages which are situated between Fence and Line of Control (LoC) also raised the issue of restriction imposed on the movements of the people by the army. Pertinent that gates on the Fence are being reportedly opened by the army between 9 am to 6 pm and before or after these hours people finding many difficulties in performing their routine domestic activities or to take permission from the army, that cause delay many a times, in case of medical and other emergencies. People requested SDPO and other officials present in the meeting to take up their problems with concerned departments and army for early redressal. |
