| DIC organizes 'Jashan-e-Bahar Urdu Mushaira' | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 14: District Information Centre (DIC) today organized 'Jashan-e- Bahar Urdu Mushaira' here at Dak Bungalow.
According to press release, District Development Commissioner Deepti Uppal was the chief guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner Salim Malik was the guest of honour .
While addressing the audience, DDC, Rajouri appreciated the role of information department in organizing such events and expressed pleasure for being a part of this soul searching function and underlined the need of morality and ethics for the existence of humanity among the human beings.
ADC Salim Malik said that such events depict the rich cultural heritage of region and give message of peace and brother hood . He emphasized on the importance of urdu languages as a powerful medium of communication and stressed on the need and propagation of the language.
Prominent poets and writers from all across the district participated in the event and expressed themselves freely. The poets and writers who participated in the event included .Dr. M.K Wakar,Rashid Qammar, Prof. Iqbal Raina, Pervaiz Malik ,Dr. Layakat Nayeer , Rafeeq Soaz,Dr. Alamdar Adham and others .
Among others, ACD Rajouri Basharat Hussain, CEO Hamid Fani , Cultural Officer Allem Daar , Tehisldar Darhal ,Wakeel Bhatt , Ghafoor Bhatt were also present on this occasion.
