LC Polls : Congress Issues Whip to Support NC 2/23/2015 11:29:11 PM SRINAGAR, Feb 23 : Congress president Prof Saif ud Din Soz presided over the meeting of his party's lawmakers in Jammu and directed them to vote for the nominees of the National Conference. Elections for six seats of the council are slated for March 2. Election Commission had issued separate notifications for 11 seats. Five of these seats were secured by PDP and BJP unopposed. They included BJPs Chering Dorjay and Sofi Yousaf and PDPs Anayat Ali, Yasir Reshi and Firdous Tak. Of the six berths that will go to polls, it seems the BJP-PDP combine will take four seats and leave two for NC-Congress.
