For their personal interests some BJP leaders sabotaging formation of coalition with PDP | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 23: Bhartiya Janata Party high command has finalized to nominate senior leader Dr Nirmal Singh as Deputy Chief Minister in the coming coalition government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed but another party leader, Choudhary Lal Singh-who is claiming himself as most deserving candidate for the same post, has rushed to Delhi to stall Dr Singh's appointment. Choudhary Lal Singh, who is adopting all means to get the post of Deputy Chief Minister, was in Congress before Assembly elections so he finding it difficult to get himself shun the Congress culture. Instead of accepting directions of the party leadership, Choudhary Lal Singh is trying to influence the high command by using his all links at Delhi to stall appointment of Dr Nirmal Singh as Deputy Chief Minister. Credible sources in the BJP said that after getting information that Dr Nirmal Singh is going to become Deputy Chief Minister in the new government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Choudhary Lal Singh on the advice of another BJP leader, rushed to Delhi to sabotage the move. The BJP leader who has advised Choudhary Lal Singh to rush to Delhi is arch rival of Dr Nirmal Singh and these days he has been completely sidelined in the process of government formation. Credible sources in the BJP said that some leaders in the BJP are thinking that for their importance they will be diminished in the State after formation of PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir so these leaders were trying overtime to sabotage formation of coalition in J&K. Not only these leaders using some "over-ambitious" party MLAs to create chaos and confusion, they are also utilizing services of other organisations to threaten Bhartiya Janata Party against going for alliance with Peoples Democratic Party. |
