sunderbani , Mar 1: To provide justice to people and mitigate their sufferings, Rajouri police, under the supervision of SSP Haseeb Mughal, has been holding meeting at various tehsil headquarters in the district.
In this connection, he held a public meeting at Sunderbani and interacted with shopkeepers, members of civil society, NGOs and transporters and gave them a patient hearing.
The participants expressed their concern over the increasing number of accidents on the Jammu-Poonch highway and lack of regular checking in the markets, traffic mismanagement and lack of public convenience facility in Sunderbani markets.
People also told the SSP that the weapons of most of the VDC members didn't work properly and demanded their immediate repairs. They also demanded special police recruitment drive in Sunderbani tehsil for the unemployed youth and repair of faulty street lights in the town.
"Grievances pertaining to police will be addressed soon and other issues will be conveyed to the concerned departments," Mughal said.
Prominent among those who attended in the meeting included sarpanch Raj Kumar, Joginder Pal Gupta Prithvi Raj, Bipin Pal, Sudesh Gupta, Ashwani Sharma, Sudesh Gupta, Mohammad Anwar, Seshu Pal, Rakesh umar, ASP Mohammad Maqbool, CPO Sargun Shukla, SDPO Naresh Kumar SHO and others.
