NMC demands payment of DA in cash 3/30/2015 11:12:16 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 30: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today demanded that the arrears of recently announced two pending installments of 17%DA by state Government for its employees be paid in cash as has been decided in favor of fourth class employees of the State Govt. Addressing a meeting of NMC activists at Gandhi Nagar, Shastri said that payment of arrears in cash is urgent need in view of sharp increase of the prices of essential commodities and inflation to save the salaried class from economic hardships. Lauding the excellent performance of Dr. Haseeb A Drabu, Finance Minister, as Chairman of J&K bank, Shastri hoped that the keeping in view of rich experience and pro working class attitude of Dr. Drabu, he would find out ways and means to arrange funds to dues arrears in cash. While pleading the cause of 61000 daily working in various departments of the State Govt. who have not been paid their monthly wages for the past several years NMC chief urged Dr. Darbu to address their difficulties by ensuing release of their pending dues in one go and formalities mechanism for regular and timely disbursement of their wages.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
