Govt owes Rs 37.13 Cr land compensation to Kishtwar | Of Rs 710 Cr, GoI released only Rs 347 Cr special assistance | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early times Report JAMMU, Mar 30: The Ministry of Roads and Building Government of Jammu and Kashmir today said that an amount of Rs. 37.13 Crore is required to clear the cases of land compensation for Kishtwar District. In reply to A.Q. NO. 742 of MLA Abdul Rahim Rather, Minister for R&B stated that the total requirement of funds for land compensation in respect of Kishtwar District was Rs. 6044.14 lacs out of which Rs 2331.02 lacs have been advanced to the Collector, Land Acquisition (ACR) thereby leaving balance requirement of Rs 3713.12 lacs. He further stated that the Union Ministry of Rural Department has sanctioned Rs. 710.00 Cr to the State as special dispensation for payment of land compensation under PMGSY, added that out of the said sanctioned amount Union government released only Rs 347 Cr till date and the government is in touch with the union government for release of remaining amount of Rs. 363 Cr, added that the pending compensation to the land owners will be paid to them as soon as the requisite balance funds will be released by the union Ministry of Rural Department. In a question whether the government intended to up-gradation of Dessu Warwan - Marwah road, the minister said that the DPRs for up-gradation of the road "Dessu to Leehanwan (Margan Pass)" having a length of 40.00 Kms and from "Margan Top to Mulwarwan" for a length of 25.50 Kms at a cost of Rs 7273.55 lacs and Rs. 3258.20 lacs respectively have been submitted to Union Ministry of Rural Development Department under Phase X of PMGSY and the sanction of which is still awaited. He said that the proposal under Stage II (Blacktopping) of road from Mulwarwan to Nawapachi (Marwah) for a length of 31.28 Kms have been sanctioned by Union Ministry of Rural Development at a cost of Rs. 1288.88 lacs and shall be taken up immediately after completion of stage 1st. He said the habitations namely Pahlipora, Khatanpora, Bachkan - Nar, Wogan etc were not covered in the Core Network of PMGSY, added that all these habitations have now been included in the list of "Left out habitations" which has been submitted to the union government for inclusion in the Core Network. As regards habitations namely Darbandi, Rajbhatpora, Guri Nard Takiamagam, minister stated that these are proposed to be connected by a road namely Takiamagam to Patti Magam for which DPR has already been submitted to the MoRD / Gol under Phase X at a cost of Rs. 446.85 Lacs and sanction of which is awaited. |
