JDA removes encroachments | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 14: As part of continuous anti-encroachment drive launched by Jammu Development Authority against the encroachers/violators, enforcement wing of JDA dismantled 4 steel fabricated structures, 4 wooden structures/khokha and removed 25 reharies from Transport Nagar area. As per the directions of Vice Chairman, JDA Mubarak Singh, enforcement team headed by Director Land Management, JDA S. Gurvinderjit Singh and S. Narinder Singh, Khilafwarzi Officer along with all the Khilafwarzi Inspectors and field staff got dismantled 4 Nos of steel fabricated truck bodies which were being used as khokhas on JDA land at Transport Nagar. Besides 3 newly created fabricated structures on the main road opposite SOS village/school raised un-authorized were also dismantled as these structures were creating traffic hazards for smooth vehicular moments and making the area accident prone. More than 25 reharis parked un-authorisdly on main road Transport Nagar Narwal were also removed by the enforcement sing. SDPO Jammu (East) Rafiq Manahas had made arrangements for police assistance whereas in charge police post Narwal. Vishal extended full cooperation on spot for conducting the anti-encroachment drive smoothly. Jammu Development Authority has also warned the violators to desist from parking vehicles on road side and erection of khokhas on JDA land and on road side which creates traffic problems and accidents. Strict action will be taken against such violators under law. |
