KPC expresses unhappiness over resumption of cricketing ties | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 14: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) expressed dismay over nod given by Prime Minister Modi to resume cricketing ties with Pakistan and said that it is most surprising and has left nationalist forces red faced. Kundan Kashmiri KPC Chief while expressing unhappiness over this nod stated that that cricket and terrorism cannot go together and we were never expecting that BJP Government at the centre would follow the footsteps of the ousted Congress led UPA regime. The soft policy towards Pakistan would encourage the neighboring country to talk about Kashmir and give confidence to separatists in Kashmir that "all is not lost.". These cricket matches between India and Pakistan were also responsible to arose anti-Indian sentiments in Kashmir valley. KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri further said that we will have to stick to our basic agenda rather than getting carried away. Soon after Modi ji took over the reins of the country he sent a clear message to Pakistan that it should not meddle into the internal matters of India and if it (Pakistan) indulges in any sort of misadventure it would get a befitting reply. So, Prime Minister Narendra Modi should realize that first Pakistan should be made to understand that it cannot allow its soil to be used for promoting violence against India and it should stop giving shelter to most wanted men in India." |
