Reasi, May 14 : The District level Inter-Zonal Tournaments organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Reasi, innaugrated today at Mini Sports Stadium, Reasi. The sports event includes volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho and wrestling matches in the U-14 and U-17 category for boys and girls. The competition was declared open by Chief Education Officer, Reasi Kamal Rattan Verma, who was the chief guest. CDPO Reasi, Pritam Thappa, District Youth & Sports Services Officer Reasi, Dr SS Chib, Principal Govt. Boys HSS, MM Khajuria, Subedar 31RR, Surinder Kumar, ZPEO, Om Prakash, ZEPO-Manohar Lal Nag and large number of locals were also present on the occasion. A pledge ceremony was held wherein participating players took oath to observe true spirit of sportsmanship and discipline. In girls Kabaddi U-14, Chassana Zone defeated Arnas Zone and Mahore Zone trenched Reasi Zone, while in Kabaddi U-17, Arnas Zone defeated Reasi Zone, Pouni Zone defeated Mahore Zone and Arnas defeated Chassana Zone. Meanwhile in Kho Kho girls U-14 Reasi Zone defeated Arnas Zone and U-17, Reasi Zone Defeated Zone Pouni and Mahore Zone defeated Arnas Zone. In volleyball girls U-14, Zone Pouni defeated Zone Mahore and in U-17, Zone Reasi defeated Zone Pouni. All the matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Ashoka Kumari, Tour Kumar, Romesh Chander, Kuldeep Raj, Manzoor Hussain, Bishambar Dass, Ajay Kumar and Ajay Kumar Billa. |
