Jammu, June 12 : Government Polytechnic College Jammu (GPCJ) today organized an 'Inter- Polytechnic Symposium and Quiz competition' in the college in which the students from Govenment Polytechnic Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, NITS Polytechnic and IECS polytechnic participated. According to press release, Er Arun Bangotra, principal of the institution was chief guest of the function. During in his welcome speech, the chief guest motivated the students to participate in various co-curricular activities for their overall personality development and also aware the students about the importance of conservation of environment. In quiz competition, six teams from various polytechnics participated. The first prize was bagged by the team from NITS Polytechnic, Jammu comprising of Nitish Jasrotia, Vipan Mattoo and Saurabh Bavoria. While the second prize was bagged by the team from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu comprising of Manik Bhatia, Shubham Khajuria and Souhard Narang and Third Prize goes to the team from Govt. Polytechnic Kathua comprises of Subash Chander, Ajay Jasrotia and Ravinder Singh Katoch. In the symposium fourteen students from various Polytechnics participated. The theme of the Symposium was "Use of Technology for Conservation of Environment". The First prize was won by Nahida Malik from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu, while second prize was won by Munish Kumar from Govt. Polytechnic, Kathua and third prize was shared by Arjun Singh from Govt. Polytechnic, Jammu and Diksha Koul from IECS Polytechnic, Jammu. |
