JAMMU, June 12 : Wrestler Jagroop of Amritsar in Punjab clinched the VIIth Annual Udhampur Kawa Kesari Dangal title outplaying Benia Min of J&K Police in the main bout that took place at Government High School Kawa. Dangal was organized by Kawa Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Association president, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Durga Dass Padha. Out of a total of 1,98,000 expenses, Rs 21,000 contributed by contractor, Rajesh Gupta. Treasurer of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest, who gave away the cash prizes. Varinder Badyal, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Sub-Inspector Lakhbinder Singh and Naib Tehsildar Santokh Chand were guests of honour. Winner of main bout, wrestler Jagroop was awarded handsome cash prize of Rs 16,000 while Benia Min got Rs 15,000. The second main bout won by Ajay Sharma of Udhampur who beat Manna of Chandigarh. In another fight for second bout, Mandeep Dhollu defeated Nisar Ahmed of Doda.
