One held with 500 gms of heroin | | | Early Times Report Banihal, June 12: Police today recovered 500 Grams of heroin worth Rs 50 Lakhs in the international market in Banihal belt of the district Ramban with the arrest of one drug smuggler during a naka checking under jurisdiction of Banihal Police Station. "On a specific information about movement of a drug smuggler coming towards Khari area of Banihal for handing over some banned contraband, a special Naka was established near Mandakbas, Khari link road some 15 kilometers from Banihal town, police sources said. Sources said, "Police team intercepted person identified namely as Mohd Shafi s/o Gulam Qadir Naik of Mandakbas, Khari Banihal for his suspicious movement especially on seeing the police team on road and recovered 500 grams of Heroin from his possession during his personal frisking." In this connection, a Case against FIR No. 86/2015 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Banihal and further investigation is on. The catch was made by a police party led by SI Shakeel Ahmed Manhas, In charge P/P Khari under the supervision of Inspector Tariq Hussain, SHO P/S Banihal, Mohd Rafiq, SDPO Banihal and overall supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar. |
