Rajouri, June 12: Demanding regularization of their services, on 24th consecutive day of their indefinite strike, Casual/ Need Based workers held a protest demonstration at Rajouri, under the banner of PWD (R&B) Casual Labourers /Need Based Workers Union (PWD-CNWU) Rajouri .
Workers have been demanding formulation of a concrete policy for regularization of services of casual laborers / need based workers / ITI trained workers, creation of a special head for the purpose of paying regular wages & release of pending wages.
They appealed to the State Government to pay attention towards the demand of poor casual laborers/need based workers / ITI trained workers of PWD who have been working since 1994 and suffering badly due to absence of any concrete policy of the Government.
While addressing the gathering rally of casual laborers/need based workers, the union President Mohammed Riaz Mughal condemned the delaying policy of the J&K Government regarding the genuine issues of casual Laborers/ Need based/ITI trained in PWD (R&B).
Mohammed Riaz Mughal also appealed to the State Government to implement the October 9,2014 resolution of Omar Abdullah lead government in which State Government has framed a policy for the regularization of the services of these poor workers.
