SKUAST-TAJ visits KVK Jammu, discusses issues 6/12/2015 10:58:14 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 12: The office bearers of SKUAST-TAJ under the presidentship of Dr. Vikas Sharma visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)-Jammu, RS Pura to discuss the problems being faced by the KVK scientists. According to press release, Dr. Sanjay Khar Programme Coordinator, KVK- Jammu apprised them about the problems being faced by KVK scientists such as regular release of salaries of KVK staff, inclusion KVK scientists in advisory committee of students, immediate release of arrears on account of pending DA / advance increments as well as CAS promotions. The president, Dr. Vikas Sharma emphasized that this is the first visit of the series to be undertaken by the association to the outstations of the varsity located at different districts of Jammu region and the visit is meant for interaction with the working scientists to understand the problems being faced by them in these remote areas. He further assured the scientists of the KVK that their issues will be taken on priority basis with the University authorities for its immediate redressal and elaborated that in the last one year association has tried its level best to solve all pending cases of teaching fraternity. Dr. Vivak Arya, General Secretary emphasized that the association is working as a bridge between the university authorities and KVK staff and assured that the CAS / seniority list issue will be taken care of with the inclusion of KVK staff in the main seniority list of their respective subjects. The meeting was attended by Dr. P.K.Rai, Dr. Devinder Sharma, Dr. Rajeev Bharat, Dr. SP Gupta, Dr. Daleep Koul, Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Dr. Prem, Dr. Magdeshwar and Raju.
