Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers holds protest against Health Deptt 6/12/2015 11:04:37 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 12: Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) under the banner of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMF) staged protest demonstration in front of the Directorate of Health Services office Jammu. Numbers of workers assembled at office of Directorate of Health Services office Jammu and raised slogans against Health Department. They also warned if the authority will fail to redressal demands before June 18, they will hold mass agitation intensify against the said department. Addressing the gathering, president of FMPHWs, Bubly Sharma condemned the callous attitude of concerned department and alleged that the workers have been working without salaries for last 18 months. She demanded immediate release of salaries, which have not been paid for the last over 12 months. She further said that they had urged the successive state governments to settle the issue of the workers and ensure that workers did not face discrimination and nothing had been done to settle the issue by the authorities, except for the assurances. While, JKMF president Sushil Sudan demanded increase in the grade of multipurpose workers and alleged that due to the non-payment of salaries for such a long time they were unable to meet the daily expenses of their families. He warned that if the demands of workers were not met they would be forced to launch a mass agitation against authority. General Secretary of FMPHWs Neelam Devi, Kanta Devi, Kamla, Gayatri, Rekha, General Secetary of JKMF Vinod Kumar Sharma and others were present on the occasion.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
