JKCSNGEU, LGEU slam double standards of Estate Deptt | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 12: Jammu Kashmir Civil Secretariat Non Gazetted Employees Union (JKCSNGEU) and Lower Grade Employees Union (LGEU) slammed the officials of Estate Department for their negative and poor response. A meeting was organized by JKCSNGEU and LGEU under the chairmanship of president JKCSNGEU, Ghulam Rasool Mir and office bearers and executive members of both the unions attended the meeting. All issues and demands pertaining to welfare of employees were discussed threadbare in the meeting and a target for fulfillment of the same was finalized. During the course of the meeting, alleged that the Estate Department is evacuating Secretariat, move employees from the quarters instead of illegal occupants. It was reported that a team of Estates Department headed by Deputy Director (Estates) has forcibly entered into a quarter allotted to Secretariat Employee on June 11, 2015 and harassed his family, also evicted an employee where somebody from outside has been accommodated by the Estates. They condemned this type of hooliganism and requests the higher authorities to initiate enquiry against the officers/officials involved. Besides this, the employees are being forced to approach Courts to execute an agreement in the form of Affidavits with regard to providing of accommodation in Estates Colonies, while as there are all details/ information of the Secretariat employees are also available with the Estate Department which they regularly provide to at the time of Darbar move. Despite repeated representations, reminders, the Estates department is still adopting dilly delaying tactics in evacuation of illegal occupants and restoration of Move/ Secretariat Employees quota thereby putting the move employee in lurch again. They alleged that on one hand, Estates Department is assuring employees that illegal occupants will be evacuated to restore Secretariat employees due quota and on the other hand they are issuing orders in favour of blue eyed persons on pick chose basis against the quota meant for Secretariat employees. The Estates Department has also failed in providing basic facilities to employees who includes proper restoration/ renovation and furnishing/furniture quarters. |
