CII presents representation to Deputy Chief Minister 6/12/2015 11:10:44 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 12: Confederation of Indian Industry(CII) Chairman CP Gupta today presents representation on Housing Colony in Udhampur to Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh. According to press release, Gupta said that it was a known fact that Udhampur was the 2nd best destination near Jammu and was expanding day by day due to its good climate, landscapes and scenic beauty as also better connect with highways and rail network. The expansion is due to migration of rural population to Udhampur mainly for livelihood resulting in mushrooming of unorganized housing in and around Udhampur. He suggested Jammu and Kashmir Government to construct a planned housing society of at least affordable 500 small housing plots 300 medium plots for population migrating from rural areas. Since this city is on national highway, this move will not only help in stopping mushrooming of unorganized housing but also keep the city clean and liveable.
