Domestic help missing: DB grants 3 weeks time to SIT for filling updated Status report | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 12: In the much publicized PIL regarding mysterious disappearance of a minor domestic help namely Rafiq Ahmed from the residence of Judicial Officer, the Division Bench (DB) of High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal granted three weeks time to the Special Investigating Team (SIT) headed by SDPO City South Jammu to submit up dated status report in this regard. When the hearing over PIL was taken up, today Sr AAG SS Nanda informed the Division Bench that SSP Jammu has issued an order on June 11, whereby constituting a Special Investigating Team (SIT) headed by SDPO City South Jammu with SHO P/S Bahu Fort Jammu, Incharge PP Narwal, PSI Showkat Amin of P/S Bahu Fort as members of the SIT and SP South will be the Supervisory Officer of the SIT to carry out the investigation in case FIR NO 86/2015 u/s 363 RPC of P/S Bahu Fort Jammu. Sr AAG SS Nanda also forwarded a copy of the status report to the Division Bench wherein the steps taken in the investigation had been highlighted. Sr AAG also informed the Division Bench that this status report is from Incharge SSP Jammu as had been directed by the Division Bench in its order dated June 10. Meantime Adv Deepika Singh Rajawat petitioner in person submitted that more than two months have elapsed but there is no clue of the missing boy. She submitted that a short time may be given to the SIT to trace the missing boy. After hearing both sides, the Division Bench granted three weeks time to the newly formed SIT to come out with the up dated status report. (JNF) |
