PDP leader visits flood hit areas | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 26: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader Sarder Waseem Ahmed Khan visited various areas of Mendhar segment and sought immediate assessment of the damages caused to property, residential houses and crops so that the sufferers are adequately compensated. According to press release, Khan led a team of party workers to help the people in distress. After visiting several areas of this constituency, Khan said that there is heavy loss of houses, cattle and crops due to heavy rains and flood. The essential services like drinking water, electricity and road connectivity have been disrupted and the public is facing the hardships, he added. Khan expressed sympathy with those whose houses and crops have been damaged due to torrential rains and asked government to ensure correct and accurate assessment of the damage so that the affected could be compensated accordingly. Khan also exhorted upon youth to contribute their services by helping the affected people and demanded provision of alternate accommodation to those rendered homeless and shelter-less due to damage to their houses. |
