AIIMS CC planning 'Pind Dan' movement | Hatred for BJP | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 26: Yesterday, an AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) activist, who also happens to be a lawyer, made a startling revelation that he had spend on his own Rs 15,000 for buying material needed for funeral rites and he would want the ACC leadership to allow him to perform what he called "Pind Dan of BJP ministers, MPs and MLAs". The said lawyer was hitherto a staunch BJP supporter and fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and had worked hard for the success of the BJP in the 2014 elections. He made this startling revelation while addressing a very large gathering at the venue where a massive ACC-sponsored chain hunger strike had been going on since July 21. He told the audience that "Pind Dan movement against the BJP and its minister, MPs and MLAs has become absolutely necessary because they have cheated and betrayed the people of Jammu region by not delivering its written promise on AIIMS". He also taunted BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh by calling him "Nirmal Baba". Not just this, he also used all kinds of epithets and invectives for him and other BJP leaders, PMs and MLAs and asserted that "the time has for the burial of the BJP". However, the most significant part of his speech was his request to the ACC leadership that either it should accept his proposal or it should give him Rs 15,000, which he spent to buy the material needed for funeral rights and other rites connected with it. Very interestingly, the entire audience endorsed his suggestion through clapping. Significantly, a senior advocate, who spoke after his junior colleague at the same venue, gave his full support to the unique idea of forcing the "ungrateful" BJP to concede the popular demand seeking an early establishment of AIIMS in Jammu. Very interestingly, he also revealed that the "said lawyer had also performed Pind Dan of Congress party in 2014 and the result was that it got decimated in Jammu region". "He should be allowed to go ahead with Pin Dan programme," this senior advocate said and he was applauded by the entire audience. It appears that the ACC, which has been spearheading the movement for the establishment of AIIMS in Jammu since May 21, may give permission to the lawyer to start "Pind Dan" movement. It is under tremendous pressure to do so. |
