| PDP greets people on Eid-ul-Azha | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Sept 24: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended its warm felicitation to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul Azha.
Greeting people, the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and general secretary Nizamudin Bhat said that the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha reminds us of making sincerity and truthfulness way of our life. They said the Baqr-Eid symbolized sacrifice, absolute devotion to God and compassion towards the poor. It also emphasizes the principle of sharing, "This holy day also teaches us to uphold the high principals of selfless service to Almighty Allah and the humanity", the duo added, "Allah Almighty actually counts the sincerity and purity of our spirit behind performing our service to him and this alone earns us his munificence and forgiveness", they said.
The PDP leaders hoped that this festival would further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood, amity, tranquility and the glorious pluralistic ethos for which Jammu and Kashmir has been known for centuries past. They also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the state. |
