PDP committed to complete full term with BJP | | | Javaid Naikoo Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Sep 24: The PDP legislators including Party Patron Mufti Muhammad Syed are committed to complete full six year term with BJP to address expectations of people. While admitting "Complications" in forming alliance with BJP, Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Syed assured his party colleagues that coalition government would complete its full six year term with BJP to address expectations of people in general. The meeting was attended by PDP Cabinet Ministers and Minister's of State, MLC's, PDP Chief Spokesman. However Parliament Members and Senior party leaders Muzaffar Hussain Beg and Tariq Hameed Qara did not attend the meeting for some unknown reasons. Sources said that it was a specially convened meeting to strategize mechanism of handling complicated issued before start of upcoming assembly session. Sources said that all PDP legislators particularly the Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Syed himself admitted that "in a coalition type government, there would always be certain complications but all unanimously expressed their willingness to focus on governance and address expectations of people across the state. Mufti Muhammad Syed said that forming coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir is always a necessity. Sources said that PDP patron admitted that forming alliance with BJP will time and again give birth to "complications" but instead indulging in war of words focus should be on governance. A PDP legislator informed Early Times that Beef Ban issue was also raised by one Party colleague in the meeting, However Mufti Muhammad Syed while cutting the discussion short said that "Such things would not shake their government " in any way. The meeting, it was learnt ended with a consensus among legislators "to complete its full term of six years with BJP." As PDP President Mehbooba is in Saudi Arabia these days to perfom Haj, Sources added that she would also conduct a separate meeting with PDP legislators once she is back to discuss some party affairs. Notably after issues like AFSPA revocation, releasing Separatist leaders, fresh controversy over Beef ban verdict of the High Court with each passing day exposes wide open differences among coalition partners. |
