| Awareness camp for farmers organized | | | Early Times Repot
Samba, Sept 29: Training cum awareness programme for farmers organized under National Mission on Agricultural Extension and Technology in village Chachwal district Samba. Project Director (ATMA) district Samba while interacting with the farmers of the village urged to adopt scientific based technology in their field and aware the farmers regarding the importance of soil health card and soil samples before sowing the crop which is the need of the hour keeping in view the production and the productivity. He further educated the farmers to use balance dose of fertilizer as per your soil health card recommended for different crops. Deputy Project Director (ATMA) during his interaction with the farmers to adopt seed treatment technology before sowing the crop. He further suggested the farmers, seed treatment is necessary whether they are using their own seeds or departmental seeds. It is necessary for every farmer to sow treated seeds in their field. Beside this he gave practical demonstration of Toria seed treatment with fungicide to the farmers of the village. |
