ReT teachers stages protest demonstrations across state 11/21/2015 11:35:03 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Nov 21: All J&K RET Teachers Forum today staged massive protest demonstration at all the district headquarters and locked up their schools in the protest against the failure of education department to release the salaries of SSA Teachers (ReTs/RReTs) and masters for several months. Their other demands include regularization of ReTs and KGBV Teachers who have completed 5 years service 1 ½ years back, revocation of controversial order/ remarks of Education Minister of screaming all the ReTs/RReTs, lifting of ban on board exam duties for ReTs, release of one year MDM dues and implementation of high court order regarding transfer for reagulized ReTs. They threatened to intensify their stir if such orders/remarks are not revoked and their genuine issues are not resolved. At Udhampur hundreds of RET Teachers assembled at CEO office in the shape of rally and held sit in protest demonstration. The protest was held under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma, State Vice President Bhupinder Singh and Distt. President Lekh Raj Parihar. While speaking on the occasion Mr. Sharma lambasted the Education Department for harassing the RET community by planning to take screening test of all RETs. He said that Hon'ble High Court had asked to take the screening test of only those ReTs who possess fake degrees issued by fake universities but in light of that judgment Minister is harassing all the ReTs and thus disturbing them mentally. He said that ReTs under SSA are without salary for last 5 to 6 months, Regularization of ReTs and KGBV Teachers is pending for last 1 ½ years, MDM dues are pending for last 1 year and the minister is passing such remarks to divert the attention of the ReTs from their genuine issues which will never be tolerated.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
