| Cultural Academy organizes Urdu mushaira | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Nov 21: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages sub office Rajouri in collaboration with Himalayan Education Society organized an Urdu mushaira here today at Himalayan College campus Thandi Kassi where poets across the state presented their unpublished and latest poetry and mesmerized the jam packed hall of audience.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Bhat was the chief guest where as Dr Aziz Hajni Secretary J&K Cultural Academy presided over the function. SSP Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh was guest of honor.
Nazir Hussain Qureshi in his welcome address underlined the activities of cultural Academy in the Pir Panjal region under the aegis of sub office Rajouri and appreciated the working of Dr Alamdar Adam Cultural Officer.
The Mushaira was started with a Naat-e-Paak of Khusheed Bismil, the poets include Prof Mirza Khan Waqar, Prof Iqbal Raina, Balraj Bakshi, Chandar Kumar Chandan and several others recited their poems. |
