Police raids at Retd DySP's restaurant | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 21: Police today raided the restaurant situated along National Highway at Byepass Sidhra for alleged iniquitous activities. Pertinently the said restaurant has been sublet by the Ex Senior Cop to the rank of DySP. As per police sources, the raids were conducted based on the inputs that the restaurant is indulged in immoral activities including consumption of liquor, rave parties and others. "After having information of the immoral activities being run in the restaurant, a police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu conducted a raid, but the raids turned futile and police team has to come back empty handed, sources added. "Seemingly, the information regarding police raid was leaked," a police officer sharing information said and added, "however police team have recovered some objectionable materials following which a case u/s 188 RPC was lodged against the owner of the restaurant." Pertinently, the state's intelligence agencies had already reported the matter of immoral activities in the restaurant to the senior police officers. The agencies were keeping a hawk's eye after two Domana based youth died in road accident after their motorcycle was slipped near the restaurant. "The duo was under the influence of liquor and were regular visitor of the above said restaurant, sources said, adding, "parents of the deceased too had lodged a complaint in this connection with the police." |
