VC JKABDK visits various tributaries 11/22/2015 12:15:01 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 21: Daljit Singh Chib Vice Chairman J&K Advisory Board for development of Kisan today visited various irrigation tributaries and field channel which are being constructed by commands area development department at Nud, Kanshalian, Mera, Mandiwala, Bakore Pagla, Khour and Nadal. The project officer, On kar Singh and other offers of the department accompanied the VC to these places. While visiting these sites he stressed on the farmers to take benefit of these newly constructed water tributaries by protecting them and keeping them neat and clean. The project officer apprised the VC that during the current year the target of lining of field channel of the area was 2600 hector but till date the department has covered 1700 hector and on the rest the work under progress. Various delegation of farmers who met the visiting team demanded the construction of more field channel too that their farms get smooth water which can enable them to increase their agricultural produce.
