Mobile Primary school without teacher for last five days | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Nov 21: In a bizarre incident the inhabitants of village Behrote in Thanamandi tehsil today held protest against the Education Department, Education Minister and State Government alleging that no teacher is attending Mobile Primary school for the last five days, while on the other hand CEO claimed that school was merged with another nearby school as only 7 students were found enrolled during investigations. Nissar Hussain, Arshad Mirza held protest at Gazali Chowk at Thanamandi and said more than 26 students going regularly to the school but it was locked for the last five days. In the absence of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) , who is on leave, clerks said they are not aware about the matter. Ch Altaf Hussain said that on the directions of Education Minister/State Government all the primary schools having less than 20 students enrolled have been emerged with the nearest primary/middle schools. One of the teacher appointed at Mobile school at Behrore Pishana has sent a written complaint that only seven students are on regular roll in this school while more than 24 students were shown in the records by the former teachers just to misappropriate funds, scholarship, mid day meal etc. The teacher had also requested to utilize his ability in another school instead wasting at this school. |
