Sainik School Nagrota celebrates 45th Annual Day 12/18/2015 11:18:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 18 : Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its 45th Annual Day on Dec 17, 2015. According to press release, Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar, presided over the function as Chief Guest. Col Kapil Dev Kaushal, Principal and his team of officers received the dignitary and ushered him to the School podium. An impressive ceremonial Guard of Honour commanded by the School Captain Cadet Namkha Dorjey was presented to honour the Chief Guest. Further, the Chief Guest inaugurated the Art, Photography, Maths and Science Exhibition in Academic Block. Simrandeep Singh, who is an alumnus of Sainik School Nagrota graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The visiting dignitaries showed keen interest and interacted with the young cadets who demonstrated great zeal and enthusiasm while presenting their exhibits. Col Kapil Dev Kaushal, Principal presented a detailed School Annual report 'Journey 2015' and highlighted the multifarious accomplishments of the school within a short span of time. Subsequently the tiny tots of the junior wing Chinar Primary School performed 'Saraswati Vandana' to seek divine blessings. The young cadets of the school performed a cultural extravaganza on stage which included School Song, jai Ho-Dance Sequence, Hip-hop Dance, Hindi Skit, Musical Performance, Fusion Dance and Bhangra. This scintillating stage show received thunderous applause from one and all. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest complimented the Principal, team of staff and cadets on this momentous occasion and expressed confidence that the school will achieve greater glories in future.
