Early Times Report Kishtwar, Dec 18: Three youth have been apprehended by police for assaulting a vehicle driver on December 15 last when an ancient and highly revered Nag temple and two houses in Mughal Maidan area were burnt in a "mysterious" fire. As the people protested against the burning of the temple in the town here, three youth intercepted a vehicle (JK17/1260), which was on its way to Chhatroo, and attacked its driver Akhtar Hussain, son of Mohammad Munawar of Poochal, Kishtwar, with lathies. They also damaged the vehicle, police sources alleged. All the three accused have been arrested. Police identified them as Papu, son of Badri Nathan, Rinku, son of Hans Raj, and Deepak, son of Nanad Lal, all residents of Dedpeth, Kishtwar. They were booked under sections 341, 323, 427, 147 and 148of RPC at police station, Chatroo.
