Srinagar, Apr 21: A nephew has taught his uncle a lesson after making judicious use of Right to Information Act (RTI). The nephew used RTI to get all the details of guardianship from Power Development Department (PDD) where his uncle is working and was appointed under SRO 43 in place of his deceased brother who was father of the aggrieved nephew. Details available with Early Times reveal that State Information Commission (SIC) received a complaint on 18.11.2015 from one Zahoor Ahmad Magray s/o Late Mohammad Akram a resident of Bagh Singerwani Pulwama. The complainant has submitted that his uncle Sona-Ullah Magray employed under SRO 43 in place of his deceased father on the condition that he will look-after the minor children of the deceased, but SonaUllah didn't act upon it. His nephew Zahoor accordingly sought all the documents submitted by his uncle including his undertaking/affidavit to look-after the minor legal heirs of his late father. The information was not supplied until case was filed before commission (SIC). Zahoor prayed before SIC that necessary action may be taken against the concerned officials for denying the information and they may be directed to provide the required information to him.In compliance to the directions dated 17.12.2015, Xen ED Pulwama produced copy of Service Book of the incumbent. He also provided copy of agreement executed by the parties.
