JTC holds meeting, discusses issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 23 : Jagti Tenement committee and Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant Cell, J&K held meeting here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President Jagti Tenement Committee and Co-convenor PCC Migrant Cell J&K. According to press release, the meeting was attended by the office bearers and members. During the course of meeting various issues related to migrants were discussed in detail. Pandita has said that since the migrants were suffering badly for last three months due to lack of ration supplies as such a demand has been made to the Government for ensuring release of Ration on old scale for the months of February, March and April 2016 immediately so as to enable the migrants to overcome present sufferings and to meet their domestic needs. The participants have expressed their grave concern over prolonged power curtailments of about eight hours a day in Jagti Migrant township Jagti. While speaking in the meeting Pandita apprised the participants that in order to get power supplies restored to Jagti Migrant mini town ship an OWP No: 544/2014, OMA No.: 707/2014 was filed in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir at Jammu. The court had been kind enough to decide the OWP vide order dated 11.04.2014 wherein the respondents had been directed for providing uninterrupted power supply at par with similar migrants who have been provided this facility. |
