Milkmen protest against co-operative department | | | Early Times Report
Nowshera, Aug 13: Senior Congress leaders of Village Rajowa Pukhrni held a strong protest against the field workers of co-operative department for discriminating with border area people. They alleged that the two field workers of co-operative department Mustak Hussian and Sansar Chand have been giving a great loss to J&K government for want to opening a new milk cooling plant in non milk areas for bribe. 25 kilometers away from Nowshera city near Pakistan border the protest was held under the chairmanship of former sarpanch & senior leader Isher Singh, Sarpanch Pukhrni Mohammed Khaleel & others said in 2012 chief of veterinary department Sarita Chowhan had come in Qila Dharal to hold public meet. They said their deputation met with her and discussed about milk chilling plant in Rajowa area but she assured milk chilling plant will open in Rajowa area. Singh said now department has sanctioned some milk cooling plants for block Nowshera. They said village Rajowa produce many quintal milk daily but field workers are discriminating with us as they want to open milk cooling plant at another place which have no animals because that is non milk area. In 2012 department opened a milk chilling plant in village Sodra of block Sunderbani but department has run this plant only for one year. They have urged the concerned minister Abdul Ghani Kohili to see into the matter and initiate enquiry for this scam otherwise people of border areas will protest against J&K government. On this occasion Malvinder Singh, Dara Singh, Tajvinder Singh, Mohan Singh, Mukhtar ahmed, Noor Hussian, Mohd. Nisar and Tanvir Ahmed, Nuskan Begum and Noorjan Begum and others were present. |
