Signature campaign launched to remove incumbent Dy CEO | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Oct 19: Government teachers and prominent citizens of Mendhar Tehsil today launched a signature campaign at Mendhar Tehsil, demanding the transfer of Deputy Chief Education Officer Poonch, Satpal Sharma, who has failed to streamline the education system in the Tehsil. The teachers and prominent citizens alleged that the Dy CEO, who has been actually appointed to supervise the functioning of the Education department in Mendhar Tehsil but he always remain away from his office and never bothers to visit any School in the Tehsil. Mohd Shoukat, a teacher said, "We face so many day to day problems in the department but nobody is here to listen to us, the Dy CEO who has been especially deputed to run the department smoothly but here the department is running at the mercy of God" "Large scale bungling were made in the recent transfer lists of teachers and masters but whenever we go to the Dy CEO officer we don't find him (Dy CEO) in his office , if once in a month we find him in the office, he behaves rudely and refuses to talk to us, where we should go" He rued. The locals believe that since the appointment of Present Dy CEO the education standard had fallen to its lowest ebb as, the department has lost control over its system, the recent transfer lists where only blue eyed were adjusted suitable rests were left at the mercy of God. Mohd Mushtaq a prominent leader of the area said, "The teachers and some Prominent citizens have taken a right decision to launch a signature campaign against Dy CEO as he is getting salary for doing nothing and always remains busy in Poonch CEO office for no valid reason" "I think the government should initiate a vigilance probe into the recent transfers of teachers and masters as well as the functioning of the department in the Mendhar Tehsil all will come to know the reality in the Tehsil" Mushtaq said. The various Teachers organizations have joined hands to take part in the signature campaign so that over 5000 signatures may be collected to submit to the Educations Minister. The teachers also appealed to the chief Minister and Hon'ble Educations Minister for their personal intervention into the matter. Various political and social organizations have also joined the campaign and expressed their support to the campaign to connect to CEO in this regard telephonically, but he refused to take the call. |
