IDPD demands immediate dialogue between Indian, Pakistan to defuse tension | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 14: While terming terrorist attack at Sunjwan army camp as provocative the Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) has appealed to the governments of India and Pakistan to adopt restraint and continue dialogue to develop collective measures to control terrorist violence. Rhetoric by the defense ministers of both countries will increase tension and make situation serious with possible misadventures on either sides. War is no solution. Health is the biggest casualty in such situations due to death injury and migration to refugee camps. That both countries possess nuclear weapons, any talk of war can be extremely grave. To ease the situation both countries should make visa process easy and encourage people to people exchange programmes as a part of confidence building measures to promote everlasting peace in South Asia. |
