2/18/2018 11:31:50 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 18: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to state Finance Minister's Dr. Haseeb. A. Drabu to immediately direct the concerned to issue SRO/Notification regarding implementation of the 7th pay commission report in favor of the employees of the State Govt. and pensioners.
This is necessary in view of the announcement extended by the Finance Minister's for implementation of the pay commission with effect from April 1,2018 itself. Shastri however expressed concern over the delay in issuing of SRO/Notification regarding 7th pay commission. He said that the same is creating confusion in the minds of salaried class and pensioners also." The issuance of notification needs to be expedited to put to rest any misgivings on the issue," he added. Shastri further stressed that there should be no room for anomalies in the pay structures vis-a vis cadres and hierarchies. Shastri would urge that arrears accruing as result of such implementation may kindly be paid in one go.
Pleading the cause of pensioners Shastri also drew attention to the distress caused by non provision medical allowance granted to the pensioners on the pattern of Central Govt. pensioners. By the formula, the state Govt. pensioners are also entitled to monthly allowance to the tune of Rs. one thousand per month, he said.
