Early Times Report

Udhampur, Feb 18: A meeting of the District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum, was held at Udhampur under the leadership of Ashok Sharma. In the meeting a large number of members of the Plus 2 Cadre expressed their views on the issues confronting them.
While appreciating the steps taken by the government for regularization of all the Incharge incumbents including Jt Directors, CEOs, Principals, Lecturers, ZEOs, Headmasters etc, the speakers urged the Government to expedite the process and issue formal orders of regularization at the earliest. At the same time, they resented that the trainings such as e-learning, subject specific of teaching staff and sports tournaments were being conducted at the fag end of the academic session when the students are preparing for their examinations. They demanded that the trainings of teaching staff be invariably conducted during summer/winter breaks. They also expressed concern over the delay in adjustment of the promotee CEOs and demanded that the pròmotee CEOs be adjusted at the earliest.
The members demanded that the promotional list of the Principals and Sr Lecturers be issued at the earliest. They demanded that the officers of the School Education Department be inducted in the KAS Cadre or the KAS Officers posted in the School Education Department be repatriated.
The speakers questioned the rationale behind the appointment of Lecturers as Superintendents for the conduct of 8th and 9th class exam when the masters are appointed as Superintendents of 10th class exam and demanded that this practice be stopped forthwith. They also said that either the practice of conducting practical exams for 12th class be stopped or these exams be conducted after the termination of theory exams.
