Jammu, Feb 19: Delhi Public School Jammu today organized an English recitation competition for students of nursery class. The children recited poems on a variety of topics for their recitation like, Nature, trees, save Earth, Save girl child etc. Every student recited the poem enthusiastically displaying the beauty of expression, thoughts, feelings, rhyme, rhythm and music of words. The competition was judged by Ms. Ritu Vohra. The first prize was bagged by Amaya Vaid and Mamliket Malik of class nursery-B, Second prize was clinched by Mohd. Rayyan Sheikh and Monisha Gupta of class Nursery-A and Nursery-B, respectively while Hayya Khan and Parth Sharma of Nursery-B won third prize. Two consolation prizes were also received by Japleen Kour and Anuvi Sharma of class nursery-B. Principal, DPS Jammu Ruchi Chabra appreciated and congratulated the winners. She expressed the need of giving more opportunities for exposure to the tiny tots. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also lauded the students for their brilliant performance. Co-ordinator, Pre-Primary wing, Preeti Abrol Nanda was also present on the occasion. |
